Her life has been one of constant change and growth. At the young age of 14, Jalayne applied for a performance license that allowed her into the bars and clubs her father was performing at. Jalayne would open the night, and then wait for her father to finish his set. Not long after that, her parents sold their house and purchased a greyhound bus which her father, not only a performer, but a local body shop owner, refinished. Each member of the Tradler family had an assigned job on the bus, and the job was so time consuming, Jalayne sacrificed a traditional high school education for correspondence to complete the bus and tour with her family. A nomadic and dynamic life began for the headstrong and determined Tradler as her family moved around the country in the bus, which rivaled that of any superstar, stopping for her performances at national venues and festivals including the Calgary Stampede. She quickly earned the title of “Alberta’s Country Angel” and throughout her years on the road, Jalayne continued to win numerous talent contests and performing competitions. At 17, Jalayne awarded the Alberta Country Music Youth Award, and soon after, she made the conscious decision to move on from the family tour schedule to attend performing arts school. Her decision broke her fathers’ heart. “My family has given me huge support, but my dad's heart broke when I said I was going to go to theatre school.” She took the time off from singing to perfect her skills as a triple-threat, and then made another impacting decision to move her country life in Red Deer, to the big city of Toronto and attend Sheridan College’s Theatre Program, and this is when her new life truly began. This hometown country girl quickly adapted to big city life. It was there in the city that Jalayne teamed up with Daniel LeBlanc (thrice nominated CCMA record producer of the year) and Thomas Wade (thrice nominated Juno and CCMA award winning artist), and started writing the songs she was destined to. Daniel was so inspired by her writing and her talents; he encouraged her to get back into singing, performing and record her new album ‘Number One’, due out internationally Sept 10, 2007. A real live Carrie Bradshaw, passionate, professional and down to earth – her version replaces the newspaper column with heartfelt country songs. The results are moving, fun and inspiring songs which document Jalayne’s personal growth and her pursuit for love, passion and keeping it completely real. If
