It all began at the age of 14, Jalayne applied for a performance license, which allowed her into bars, clubs and festivals to perform alongside her father. She shared the stage with her family, singing songs that she loved to sing and in small town Bashaw, Alberta...the dream began.

Not long after, her parents sold their house and purchased a Greyhound bus, which would be her home for the next few years, enabling her to tour full time and finish her schooling on the road.

After deciding to move on from the family tour schedule, she perfected her skills as a 'triple threat' in the theatre world. Jalayne made the tough decision to move from her life on the road to the city of Toronto and attend Canada's #1 Musical Theater Performance Program.

It was in Toronto that Jalayne teamed up with producer Daniel LeBlanc. During this time, she started co-writing with Daniel and Creighton Doane and penned four of the songs on the CD 'Number One.'

During this time she was busy in the recording studio, performing at festivals, and was featured as one of the Canadian Artists to watch at 'Canadian Music Week' in Toronto. She has also been invited to perform at the Songwriters Cafe during Canadian Country Music Week.

An album underway, Jalayne started spending time in Nashville and began working with the vast array of talented musicians the city has to offer. Her time in Nashville over the past few years has lead her to top writers and artists in the industry including The Backstreet Boys' Brian Littrell, with whom she recorded a Christmas duet. Jalayne was also honored to record a duet 'Mr. Right Now' with Grammy award-winning Country artist, Billy Dean which is included as a bonus track on 'Number One.'

With marketing experience under her belt she was able to craft some fun collaborative campaigns with WestJet Airlines and Suzy Shier in conjunction with her album 'Number One.'

"Nashville has been very kind to me. I love the creativity the city brings to the table. It's a unique experience where music is literally around you wherever you go. A place you can go and connect with other writers and artists, and have that community around you to share your music and songs...and in my case it's usually something that makes you want to get up and have a good time."

Now calling Nashville home, Jalayne has signed a publishing deal with Casa Vega Music. She will continue to write and record the rest of her material for her follow-up album 'Hey Hey' and ready to share some new music with you soon.
